In the glare of the setting sun, he drove west, west to Guion.
Nothing else mattered to him now. Guion is what consumed his thoughts, he was driven by her memory to come to Guion. Here she promised him, he would find peace from the pain of losing her.
Yet in all his days, he had never seen anything as beautiful as the Ranch at Guion, in the Valley of the Indian.
Here maybe he would find the peace, he desperately needed.
